Fukamizu Hamono Gibier Knife 120mm Gingami #3 stainless
Oo la la. That's French.
It also happened to be our reaction upon unboxing this little beauty. A wisp of a game knife. Light and slender, almost worthy of some finger-twirling. You'd want to be good though - it is sharp.
Fukamizu Hamono's gibier (also French) is an excellent example of this knife maker's commitment to new product development. It's gingami#3 stainless steel, a high quality cutlery steel that you don't often see used in a) game knives and b) black-forged products. It's perfect! At least we think so. Perfect for one-pass slicing of small to mid-size game.
Note that while from a maintenance perspective there would be no worries using it in the field - stainless blade, hardy handle - it doesn't come with a sheath. Organise one for yourself or take those bunnies home to where the gibier knife is waiting. Bon appétit.

I raise squabs, we use it to fillet the breasts. The blunt tip goes right in without cutting any meat. Rides right along bone. It's the coolest knife i have ever used. I love it.
