Product Description
Steel is a mysterious material and any craftsman who is able to manipulate and control its physical properties deserves our highest regard. When the blacksmith has been forging for more than half a century, after completing his training under a master swordsmith, well, the respect-o-meter may tick up that little bit more.
'Toku-sei' means special grade, and this is swordsmith-trained Kono san's special grade santoku. An ideal size for preparing most family meals, possibly an ideal steel for buyers who care about such things. For the rest of us, Kono san's toku-sei santoku is simply a very sharp knife.
Toku-sei. Additional hammering, impressive final sharpening, delicate blade kanji. Special!
