- Toyonaga Hamono Sakimaru Yanagiba 240mm Gingami #3 Stainless
Product Description
Very sword-like, isn't it.
It's not a sword of course, this beautiful knife is simply a sashimi-bocho. Blade-width and thickness are identical to the more familiar tapered-end yanagiba. The only difference between the two is in weight - the sakimaru yanagiba has a slightly heavier blade at the same length and that's it. For the user, preference largely comes down to appearance.
There'll be no question about the finish quality or the choice of materials. The Toyonaga Hamono sakimaru yanagiba's combination of Aogami #2 and mirror-finish gingami stainless offers terrific sharpness with high rust resistance. The ebony handle is one of the nicest available.
Please note: While we don't have product images for this knife at every blade length, the full range is available for order. Images above are all of the 24 cm blade length, which is slightly shy of 9½ inches.
