Product Description
Honestly, we were wondering whether we should rename this knife. O-bocho simply means large knife, and that only in the context of the knives that Nakamura san offers. No matter, we are purists and we like to keep things original. So we'll list it alongside the santoku knives and bannou knives that share it's length and purpose.
It's nice. Light for its length, being not particularly tall in the blade. Enough blade for big leafy vegetables when the need arises, a solid choice for preparing family meals.

Honestly, I could write an essay every time I gather another one of Nakamura San's masterpieces.. Personally first I tried the knives made by him I knew that the search for a better, for something different is over. I own many of his work, proudly. The best way to describe his knives that with every cut you feel he spent his life creating the perfect tool.
I own many other smithies knives too, but they can't even come close.
This O-bocho very soon became my new favorite. Stays extremely sharp (laser if you like) with very little maintenance, I only used a Belgian blue 12k stone so far instead of a strap, and honestly, I use this knive as a workhorse.
Phenomenal.

I wanted a knife that a normal person would purchase.
Steel and edge are incredible good. If you spent 1 hour in finishing the handle and place a new grind you double the value. I love it, so happy to work with mr nakamuras tool. probably not my last order
