Product Description
In some senses the Yoshimitsu Hamono nakiri is a very standard example of the style. Length and blade height are not unusual. Nice balance. No surprises.
In other senses it's definitely a cut above. The best materials, the highest levels of craftsmanship. The black-forged Aogami Super blade is attached to a beautiful sandalwood handle with a copper ring reinforced buffalo horn ferrule. It's a beautifully finished knife.
Practically speaking handle dimensions are modest and will suit all but the largest hands. Weight is on the light side. Aogami Super delivers stellar edge retention and cutting feel. Note this is a very hard steel and sharpening will be slow.
